We have homeschooled all three of our daughters. We have been using the Calvert School Program for eight years. The oldest, Beth, was homeschooled for six years and is now a senior at the Baltimore School for the Arts where she is studying dance. Our twins, Kristina and Cecelia, are now ninth graders and have started attending the Baltimore SFA as well. As part of our U.S. studies last fall, we took the school on the road for ten weeks. Taking advantage of the flexibility that homeschooling offered, we made a grand loop around the U.S.A, visiting Fort Wayne, Illinois Beach, Wisconsin Dells, the Corn Palace, the Badlands and Wall Drug Store, Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave, Deadwood, the Black Hills, Devils Tower, Cody, Yellowstone, Nez Pierce Indian Reservation, Mount Ranier, Seattle, Olympic NP, Corvallis, Crater Lake, Redwood Forest NP, Sonoma County, San Jose, Hearst Castle, San Diego, Death Valley, Las Vegas and Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon, Zion NP, Bryce NP, Capital Reef NP, Canyonland NP, Arches NP, Mesa Verde, Canyon de Chelly, Hubbell Trading Post NP, Petrified Forest NP, Salinas Pueblo Missions, El Morro NP, El Malpais NP, White Sands NP, Carlsbad NP, Guadalupe NP, Big Bend NP, Del Rio, San Antonio, Dallas, Avery Island, New Orleans, Biloxi, Montgomery, AL, Atlanta, Savannah, North Carolina and the Outer Banks and returning home to Baltimore, MD. We met other home schoolers on our trip as the twins continued their studies. It was a great way to wind up our home schooling experience.
